Our goal in breeding Collies is to produce Collies with great health, temperament, and structure. Our puppies available come from parents who we've known for several generations and who have received more than all the required health testing for our breed. Please enjoy our website and contact us if you have questions!
We breed Collies who have a calm, sweet, and loving personality. We also believe that lots of socialization in the first weeks of life has a positive impact on the pup's life-long temperament.
Our parent Collies are screened for CEA, PRA-rcd2, MDR1, DM, CN, and DMS. We do our best to mate our parent dogs so that the puppies also have great health scores.
Balanced structure affects everything about the Collie, including ability to work & live a normal life. We use the AKC Collie standard as a guide to preserve the genuine
"Collie Look".
If you are able, we encourage you to visit our Collies before choosing your puppy. You can meet the parents of our puppies to get a good idea of what your puppy will be like as an adult. We can also discuss your preferences and give you the information you need to decide if we are the right breeder for you. You can schedule an appointment to visit after completing our puppy application. We often do visits late morning or early evening on Mondays, Fridays, or Saturdays.
We typically have puppies available several times throughout the year. Sometimes we also have older pups available or adult Collies too. Please complete our puppy application if you are interested in a Collie from us and want to get the process started.
We ask that you take your puppy to your new vet within the first 14 days after purchase to establish care and to make sure that you received a puppy who was 'fit for sale'. We offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee that covers terminal illness or significant disability proven to be of genetic origin through proper veterinary testing.
At time of sale, we provide you with a portfolio with thorough documentation of your new Collie's Health and Pedigree History. This folder includes pedigrees, AKC registration, Microchip Reunite Info, Vaccination Records, Vet Exam certificates, copies of both parent's health testing certificates, and information about the drugs Collie are sensitive to. We ask that you take this folder of information along to your vet visits in order to seamlessly transfer your puppy's health care to your new vet. Your vet is always welcome to contact us with any questions about the new puppy or dog.
We enjoy both varieties of our Collie breed and are happy to offer both smooth and rough Collie puppies with great temperaments!
We only accept payments thru gooddog's secure payment platform. Gooddog.pay is built with both breeders and puppy buyers in mind with the goal of eliminating fraudulent puppy payments. On this payment platform, you can pay with your credit card (with a 3% credit card fee) or you can make an ACH payment from your bank account with no additional fees. Please reach out to us if you need support with making a zero-fee payment.
We feed our Collies high quality dog food and the best possible supplements. Our puppies are fed Royal Canin Puppy Starter- a special formula for tiny stomachs. It is important that you feed your Collie puppy a large breed puppy formula. Please see this link for more information about dog foods we recommend.
Since 2018, we have exported 12 of our Collie puppies to breeders outside the United States. We are thank-ful that some of our most excellent puppies can have a positive impact on the breed in Europe. Visit our export page to see some of the pups we have exported to Europe. If you are a breeder from Europe interested in getting a Collie from us, please click on the button to review export information.

Hazel is still the most amazing dog ever! She now has her Canine Good Citizen Advanced title, Trick Dog Intermediate title, and Rally Novice title. We are starting pet-assisted therapy work at a big hospital in Fort Worth later this month. She and I are going to the Collie Club of America national specialty show in March where Hazel will be competing in herding and rally. She is my best girl and we are so proud of her and feel so lucky to have her. Here’s a photo of her after earning her new rally title. (Hazel is a daughter of Chance and Gracie)
Katie, Jersey earned her masters agility championship title today (MACH).
There’s nothing this girl can’t do. Thanks for trusting me with her. She’s the best!!
Thanks, Cathy
(Jersey is a daughter of Lilac & Chance)

First time out and she earned a qualifying score and the first leg of her Novice dog title. She also won highest score of her class with a 196/200. She is a BIG personality and has a very high drive to work, even in obedience. She is just beautiful and her presence captures everyone’s attention immediately. Nobody can believe how young she is to be working with such drive, precision, and joy.
Hope this finds you well and warm. I wanted to send a few updated photos of Boris. Boris is doing very well and is now my certified Emotional Support Animal. I was diagnosed with PTSD and he has been a God sent for me. Best wishes Eunice
(Boris is a son of Chance & grandson of Tucker)
I am almost 3 (Feb 2024) and I am a wonderful collie to my family. This year I earned my canine good citizenship award and just completed my therapy dog certification. Mom says we are going to schools and her work with cancer patients. I am learning to whisper when I get excited so I don’t scare the kids or patients. Tell my family at Brookwood collies ruff!

The Sable and white is also sometimes called a "golden sable". This Collie is "all gold" with no dark tips on her hair. She has 2 dominant sable genes.
Tri-colors are predominantly black with white and sable markings. These Collies have 2 recessive tri-color genes and carry no sable.
The Mahogany sable or tri-factored sable coat is characterized by the dark tips and darker brown sable coloring. These Collies are darker because they have one sable gene and one tri-color gene
A White Collie is predominantly white with a colored head and often some colored spots on the body. To have a white pup, both parents must be carriers of white (aka white factored).
Unlike the collies’ two base color genes, the merle gene is not a color gene. The merle gene turns some parts of a black coat to grey by not allowing the black color to come through completely.
Unlike the blue merle, sable merles typically do not appear to be obviously merled. Most sable merles look like a lighter colored sable often with freckled ears and slight color variations over the back.
